Onigiri Restaurant
Onigiri Restaurant
A visual identity and mobile ordering app for a Japanese quick-service restaurant built around onigiri and maki.

Overview
A Brand Built Around the Food
Onigiri serves two Japanese staples: rice balls and maki rolls. I used the rounded triangle of an onigiri as the basis for the logo, giving the restaurant a mark that reflects what it serves. I paired it with a script wordmark and created horizontal, stacked, and icon-only versions for the app and marketing materials.

Challenges
Fast Food Without the Line
Onigiri was designed for quick service, but customers still had to visit the restaurant and wait in line to place an order. The challenge was to make ordering ahead fit into a busy day, whether someone wanted to pick up lunch on a break or have dinner delivered at home.

Product Design
From Menu to Checkout
I used low-fidelity wireframes to map the flow from browsing the menu to reviewing the cart. I grouped location, pickup or delivery, and time options on one screen so customers could see where, how, and when they’d get their food before checking out.
