A Clean Desk = A Clear Mind

My office desk setup is simple on purpose. No clutter, no distractions, just the essentials. It’s the kind of space that helps me think clearly and focus on what matters.
I’ve always believed that the environment you work in shapes how you work. For me, that means keeping everything minimal, functional, and meaningful.
The Setup
I use a MacBook Pro connected to an LG monitor through a single USB-C cable. That one connection powers the laptop, displays everything in crisp color, and keeps the desk clean. I prefer working with the MacBook closed because it helps me stay focused on one screen instead of jumping between two.
The monitor has great color accuracy, which is perfect for design work. It’s also company-provided, but if I ever buy my own, I’ll probably stick to the same model. It just does the job well.
The Tools
My Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse have been with me for about two years. They’re reliable, light, and connect instantly every time I sit down. I don’t need to think about them, which is exactly what I want.
The AirPods Pro (first generation) are a different story. They’ve been through a lot, including a full cycle in the washer and dryer, and somehow still work. I’ve had them since launch and they’ve earned a permanent spot on my desk.
The Personal Touch
The red Ferrari F50 model is the only pop of color on my desk. It was a gift from my grandfather and used to sit on his own setup. It’s more than decoration; it’s a reminder of him and a small tribute to where my love for design and detail came from.
Staying Hydrated
I keep a white Hydro Flask next to the monitor. Being 6'5", I go through a lot of water during the day, and this bottle keeps it cold no matter how long I’m at my desk. It’s simple but essential, part of staying focused and feeling good throughout the day.
What’s Next
I’ve been thinking about adding a green desk mat. Something with a soft texture that adds contrast without cluttering the space. It’s a small touch, but those little choices are what make a setup feel personal.
Why I Keep It Simple
A clear desk helps me keep a clear mind, and I’ve realized that simplicity fuels my creativity more than anything else.
Each item has a reason to be here, and nothing else needs to be. That’s the point.
