About me

I'm a Visual Designer by day and a creative freelancer from 5pm to 9am. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I spend my 9-to-5 designing for some of the biggest job search brands on the internet, and my nights and weekends building something of my own. Photography, short-form video, graphic design, web design. One client at a time.

Life & Interests

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, lived in Massachusetts from 2018 to 2022. Here are some of my interests, in no particular order:

🏀 Basketball — I play, and I watch. I've been a Boston Celtics fan for a long time. Favorite player right now is Anthony Edwards.

⚔️ Star Wars — Specifically the lore. I don't read the comics or the books, but I've gone deep on the expanded universe, Legends canon, and everything in between through video. The worldbuilding and lore is unmatched. If you want to go down a rabbit hole, Star Wars Theory on YouTube is the best source.

📷 Photography — I shoot because I see things I want to keep. Still figuring out exactly what kind of photographer I am, but I'm enjoying the process of finding out.

🎬 Short-form video — There's something satisfying about telling a story in 30 seconds. I produce Instagram videos for local businesses and I'm always thinking about what makes a scroll stop.

🌐 Web design — I build in Framer and I'm working on my first set of templates. I love the ease of use from a design background using Figma and how I can have my designs live.

✏️ Graphic design — My foundation. Branding, layout, type. This is where my eye was trained and where my standards come from.

🚗 Cars — I drive a 2021 Hyundai Veloster 2.0 and I genuinely enjoy it. So far I've done a muffler delete, which changed the character of the car completely. Next on the list is a cold air intake and a spoiler. It's a slow build but it's mine.

🐱 Cats — I have two cats, Mila and Shadow. They are a big part of the household.

✈️ Travel — I love traveling with my wife. We have been to Argentina, Paris, Spain, Italy, and a bunch of Caribbean islands. In August 2026 we are heading to South Africa, which I am very excited about. I put some photos from our trips on the blog if you want to see them.

📺 YouTube — I watch a lot. My subscriptions say a lot about me. A mix of cars, tech, creativity, design, lifestyle, and Star Wars lore. Here's what's in my feed:

Career

I started at Bold in December 2022 as a Visual Designer on the marketing side. For the first three years I focused almost entirely on Resume Now, designing across SEO, email, SEM, and social media. Since January I've expanded to working across the larger Bold portfolio, which includes CareerBuilder, Monster, FlexJobs, and Remote.co.

Marketing design moves fast and the briefs are always changing. It's taught me how to work at volume without losing the eye for detail, and how to design for performance, not just for looks.

Before that, I did my Associate degree in Visual Design at Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts, almost entirely from my parents' house during the pandemic. I enjoyed taking classes and gaming at the same time.

On the side, I'm building a freelance practice I actually care about. Right now that means:

📹 Video production for local businesses. I record and edit short-form Instagram content for clients on a recurring basis. It started with one client and I'm growing from there.

📷 Photography. I've done shoots and I'm actively moving toward making it a paid service.

🌐 Web design. I'm building Framer templates and taking on web projects.

✏️ Graphic design. Available for branding and visual identity work.

The goal is simple: turn the 5pm-to-9am hours into something that compounds.

About This Website

This site is my corner of the internet, part portfolio, part blog, part proof of work. I built it to document the process of building a creative freelance business while holding down a full-time design job.

It's a work in progress, like everything else I'm doing.
