My Home Desk Setup: Designed for Creativity
Oct 26, 2025
This home setup is a blend of creative comfort and everyday function. It is where I unwind after work, edit photos, play games, and write ideas for new projects. The focus is on flexibility and a calming mood. The desk stays minimal so the space feels open and ready for anything.
The Workspace
The foundation of the setup is the IKEA ANFALLARE desk. The bamboo surface brings a natural warmth while the black metal legs keep things minimal. A green cutting mat defines the space visually and protects the desk when I am handling tools or gear.
The Display
A 32-inch LG UltraGear 32GP850-B QHD monitor floats above the desk with clean cable management. Once properly calibrated, the colours look sharp and accurate for both design work and gaming. Its size and viewing angle keep the experience comfortable during long sessions.
The Inputs
The 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard provides a crisp and tactile experience with Kailh Box White V2 switches and dye-sublimated PBT keycaps. Its nostalgic design adds personality to the setup. The Glorious Model D 2 Wireless mouse offers smooth and responsive control for both editing and gaming.
The Sound
The Apple HomePod sits on the right side of the desk. Its sound quality is perfect for music while working, ambient playlists while reading, or gaming at night. It also handles helpful tasks like timers and smart-home control.
The Machines
My MacBook Pro takes care of all work and productivity tasks. When the day ends, my custom PC switches in for entertainment and gaming.
Custom PC specs
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
• 16 GB DDR4 RAM
• 1 TB HDD and 512 GB SSD
This division keeps things simple. Work stays on one device so gaming always feels like a reward on the other.
The Inspiration
Above the display hangs a cork board and a white organizer grid that hold printed photos, sketches, pens, and notes. A sunflower pin adds a warm personal touch. This wall brings inspiration within reach without sacrificing the clean surface below.

The Future
• A standing desk frame for better posture and movement
• Smarter lighting for nighttime projects
• More refined cable organization behind the monitor
• Additional wall storage that remains clean and minimal
This home workspace is still growing, but it already reflects both my needs and my personality. It supports focus when I need to work and relaxation when I want to disconnect. It is a space that feels good to be in and will continue to evolve as I do.
